I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty, friend, cab driver, dog walker, goalkeeper, any game player wearing a multitude of hats just like you. I understand more than anything that our unpredictable lives throw us many curve balls. Mine have included an extremely stress-full job, pregnancy, two c-sections, tiredness, sleepless nights/months in early motherhood (which continued into later motherhood ha ha ha!), a back operation (to be told I probably wouldn’t do a squat again), burning candles at both ends to name just a few. I truly understand life is not always easy.
I am from the UK and have been lucky to live in America, UAE, Philippines and now Singapore. I have always taken an interest in health and fitness and finally after 12 years working in the hospitality industry in Human Resources, I decided to take the plunge and follow my true passion in the health & fitness industry. I am not ripped, I do not look like a model, I do not spend all day flexing my muscles, I do not spend every minute in the gym, I do not scream at my clients (unless you want me too)
In my past I have always stayed very active, regularly going to the gym and running, but eventually I realised this alone does not work. I have done an array of diet plans, slimmer's world, weight watchers, 5-2, cutting out carbs, I vividly remember a painful 3-day diet - anything to get rid of that 5kg. What was I thinking?? Yes, I would lose weight but soon I would be saying hello to that same 5kg again. It was only when I abandoned the diets and followed clean eating, moderation, exercise and setting short and long term goals, that I saw long term results. I am pleased to say that I’ve not seen that 5kg return for some time now. Having a balance is the answer.
With Balance I can enjoy my food, I can socialise with friends, I am active and I feel healthy, fit and strong. We can do this together!
